Phase 1 of Trail Work Has Begun

We are very excited to announce that work has begun on the 2.78 mile section of trail starting at Moultonville road. The NH Trails Bureau and our volunteer groups will be building an 8 ft wide Rec path along the corridor from Moultonville Rd to Rt 16.

The first phase will be to Tre trench the sides of the trail to drain some of the standing water, then they’ll rough in a path pulling material from the sides and bankments so that construction equipment can have easy access prior to bringing in the base layer of gravel.

Once this is done, the plan is to spread and compact stone dust to produce a hard smooth surface to make the trail ADA compliant and suitable for cyclists, walkers, joggers and strollers etc. We are excited for this phase please watch our Facebook page for updates as well as timing for volunteers to help make this section of trail a reality.

We are planning on marking some trees and will need some volunteers this weekend, 6/20, and once we have plans finalized we will post on our Facebook page.
